Turning Knowledge into Livelihood: Barangay Health Workers and ALS Students Graduate in Basic Food Processing and Entrepreneurship Level IV
Brooke’s Point, Palawan — A total of 50 participants—comprising 25 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and 25 Alternative Learning System (ALS) students—have successfully completed a Basic Food Processing (Jam and Chips Making) with Entrepreneurship Level IV training program, aimed at enhancing livelihood opportunities in the municipality.
The graduation ceremony was held in Maruyog Ridge, Brookes Point, Palawan on September 19, 2025 and attended by key officials and stakeholders, including Municipal Mayor Cesareo Benedito Jr., Vice Mayor Mary Jean Feliciano, Community Training and Employment Coordinator (CTEC) Refeyong Benedito, and PTC Palawan Administrator Javelin E. Obrero.
Also present was Ms. Ma. Myla A. Pamplona, Supervising TESD Specialist, who represented TESDA Palawan Provincial Director Gerardo A. Mercado
The training, conducted in partnership with LGU Brookes Point and PTC Palawan, covered both technical skills in jam and chips making, and business-oriented modules under the Entrepreneurship Level IV program, equipping graduates with the tools to start their own small-scale food processing ventures.
This initiative reflects the continuing push for skills development, economic empowerment, and inclusive growth in the communities of Brooke’s Point.
