25 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) Graduate from Skills Training Programs at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Brookes Point, Palawan
Brooke’s Point, Palawan — A total of 25 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) successfully graduated from two specialized skills training programs conducted within the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – Brooke’s Point Municipal Jail last September 18, 2025 aimed at rehabilitation and reintegration.
The graduation ceremony marked the completion of a Five (5) days training on Assembly of Solar Night Light and Post Lamp, as well as a 3-day Entrepreneurship Level IV training, both conducted in collaboration with LGU Brookes Point and PTC Palawan.
The event was graced by several key local leaders and stakeholders, including Brooke’s Point Municipal Mayor Cesareo Benedito Jr., Vice Mayor Mary Jean Feliciano, Jail Warden JINSP Bryan Ian Paul A. Rañada, and PTC Palawan Administrator Javelin E. Obrero.
The training was designed to equip participants with both technical and entrepreneurial skills — the solar lamp training providing hands-on experience in renewable energy technology, while the entrepreneurship module aimed to foster business mindset and self-sufficiency.
This initiative underscores the collaborative efforts between the local government, educational institutions, and the BJMP in promoting restorative justice and second chances.
